Louisiana man dies in crash at ATV park in George County, officials say

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in an ATV crash over the weekend that killed a Louisiana man at a Red Creek Off-Road, George County Sheriff Keith Havard said in a press release.

Deputies and other first responders arrived at the scene on Vestry Road at 5:20 a.m. Saturday and found the 32-year-old man dead of multiple injuries, Havard said.

Deputy Coroner Brennen Ferguson identified the deceased as Anthony Garelpied.

Garelpied died of multiple injuries after hitting an embankment at the off-road park, Ferguson said.

Sheriff’s deputies, agents with the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks and ASAP Ambulance Service responded to the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
