Lanes closures coming to I-110 bridge for 2 weeks

Lane closures on the Interstate 110 drawbridge northbound and southbound start Aug. 22 and continue at night until Sept. 1.

Mississippi Department of Transportation will be inspecting the bridge and workers will temporarily close lanes between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.

The work will be done Monday through Thursday, Aug. 22-25 and Aug. 29-Sept. 1, and at least one lane in each direction will be open during the inspection.

MDOT said no work will be done during the day or on weekends.

Boats will be in the water near the bridge for the inspection and safety.
