Pascagoula police are seeking leads for the capture of two men sought for their alleged role in a July 10 shooting.

Police said Moss Point residents Kedric Cornell Taylor, 28, and Regio Derrell Lavant, 29, are wanted on two counts each of aggravated assault.

Police believe Taylor, Lavant and another man, Javon Lemuel Roberts, 29, of Moss Point, were involved in a shooting at Ingalls Avenue and Heidenhiem Drive in which two people were wounded.

Investigators are trying to determine how the wounded men knew each other, police Capt. Shannon Massey said.

One of the bullets hit a fence near an area where a woman said she was swimming with her 5-year-old granddaughter.

Police said they pursued a vehicle that matched the description of the getaway car into Moss Point but gave up the chase for safety reasons.

They said the car is a 2009 blue Nissan Maxima with an Alabama specialty license plate.

Police arrested Roberts on two counts of aggravated assault Wednesday.

He is being held in Jackson County Jail. Municipal Judge Michael Fondren set his bond at $500,000.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Taylor and Lavant is encouraged to call the Pascagoula Police Department at 228-762-2211 or Crime Stoppers at 877-787-5898.
