Most of the Coast: Things you’ll want to do this weekend
If you’ve had a dose of freaky ghosts, then this is your weekend. After much fanfare and even more criticism from middle-aged fan boys, Paul Feig’s reboot of the “Ghostbusters” franchise hits screens nationwide today.
It features an all-female lead cast that is basically a who’s-who of modern comedy: Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon. “Ghostbusters” has multiple showings at the Grand Theater in D’Iberville and the Cinemark 16 in Gulfport.
For the “Pokemon Go” player in your life, Edgewater Mall will be holding a Pokemon Go Happy Hour from 3- 5 p.m. Friday The happy hour promises four Pokestops as well as some sales in the shops. Maybe you’ll catch Drowzee or Krabby or Dewgong?
But if “Ghostbusters” and “Pokemon Go” isn’t your thing, there are several options this weekend including the funky fiddle sounds of Waylon Thibodeaux, country star Sara Evans and much more.
