Brackish Seafood Restaurant is swimming into the final stretch this weekend.

The restaurant’s soft opening will be Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, 5:30 to 10:30 each night, said Joey Homrighausen; he, his wife, Kimmy, and David Dickensauge are co-owners of Brackish, which he describes as a “traditional Southern seafood restaurant.”

The three also own Corks & Cleaver in downtown Gulfport. Brackish is at 217 E. Beach Blvd., in the Long Beach Harbor, in the former Oyster Reef Club location.

“It’s our soft opening, but it’s also our official opening,” Homrighausen said. “We’ll be open for lunch and dinner but we won’t open for lunch for a week or two.

“I definitely recommend reservations, for sure,” he said.

After this weekend, the restaurant’s hours will be 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for lunch, 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. for dinner Monday through Thursday and 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday; Brackish will be closed on Sunday.
