Hancock County opens cold-weather shelter

There will be a cold-weather shelter open in Hancock County tonight and Tuesday night, emergency management officials said.

The Church of the Lutheran Pines in Waveland will be open from 4:30 p.m. to 8 a.m. for the next two nights because of the freezing temperatures, said Brian Adam, emergency management director.

The church is located at 309 U.S. 90 in Waveland.

Shelters also are open in Harrison and Jackson counties.
