Nursing assistant charged with abuse of vulnerable person

A certified nursing assistant in Moss Point has been arrested on a felony charge of abuse of a vulnerable adult while in her care, according to Attorney General Jim Hood.

Darlene May, 42, of Gautier, was taken into custody Monday.

A Jackson County grand jury indicted May in August for the alleged abuse of the patient at Singing River Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. May was working there as a certified nursing assistant.
