A scheduled tree giveaway on Friday to celebrate Arbor Day has been rescheduled for Feb. 19, the organizers announced.
The Jackson County Soil and Water Conservation District is sponsoring the event, but changed the day because of impending bad weather.
A limited number of trees will be available free to the public at the north entrance of the Singing River Mall in Gautier, across from the Classic Cookie.
The giveaway will be from 10 a.m. until all the trees are gone.
