A flash flood warning has been extended for Harrison County and western Jackson County until 5:15 p.m., the National Weather Service has advised.
The NWS said radar is showing a thunderstorm over the flood warning area that could drop an additional one to three inches in the area that already has seen two to three inches of rain today.
A flash flood warning means flooding is imminent or occurring. If you are in the warning area, the National Weather Service advises you to move to higher ground immediately. Residents in low-lying areas or those prone to flooding should take immediate precautions.
