Fugitive extradited in home repair fraud case

Mitchell Lamar Baria has been extradited to Harrison County for prosecution on a string of home repair fraud cases.

Baria, 36, is the man who sent a “catch me if you can” message to court officials through his fiance and was captured after five months in a federal fugitive investigation. The FBI in October placed him on its list of most wanted fugitives. He was found in Las Vegas on Nov. 9.

Baria was booked in at the Harrison County jail on Wednesday. He remains in custody without bond.
