Slow driver ends up arrested on marijuana charge

A Lumberton woman tipped off authorities to possible illegal activity when she slowed up traffic Tuesday on U.S. 90 at Taylor Road, Ocean Springs Police Officer Michael Pol said.

Police Lt. Vince Spiriti, decided to stop Martha Dressel, 43, after the officer noticed that several cars were passing Dressel's vehicle because she was creeping along, traveling at 15 mph in a 45 mph speed zone.

The police officer searched Dressel's vehicle after the stop, seizing 22 grams of marijuana. She was charged with careless driving and possession of marijuana and released on an $785 bond.
