An investigation is continuing this morning in connection with the murder of a woman whose body was discovered over the weekend in a wooded area near Gilbert Preston Road in east Harrison County.
Sheriff Melvin Brisolara said investigators are hoping to develop some leads in the case today.
Hunters found the woman’s body Saturday night, though her identity is not yet known. Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove said an autopsy showed the woman died of a blunt force trauma to the chest.
