Biloxi man jailed after high-speed chase

A Biloxi man in jail this morning on a $10,000 bond is accused of leading authorities on a high-speed chase that started authorities tried to stop him in D’Iberville for allegedly running a red light, Harrison County Sheriff Melvin Brisolara said.

Reginald Keys, 24, of Big Ridge Road, first stopped his vehicle and got out when authorities pulled him over on Rodriguez Street in D’Iberville but then jumped in his car and took off, running through stop signs, red lights and parking lots.

At one point, Brisolara said, Keys stopped his vehicle at a home just inside Jackson County long enough to let a 15-year-old out of his vehicle and then continued on.

The pursuit ended a short time later just inside the Jackson County line, where Keys was taken into custody without incident. In addition to a felony fleeing charge, Keys was booked with misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a minor, resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia and simple possession of marijuana.
