Police: Victim in fatal crash probably speeding

Justin Goldman, 24, of Vancleave, was likely speeding when his westbound motorcycle ran into the back of 2005 Chrysler on Jim Ramsey Road on Sunday night, Jackson County Sheriff Mike Byrd said.

Upon impact, the sheriff said, Goldman was thrown from his 1995 Suzuki 650, landing in the eastbound lane where a van rolled over him.

Jackson County Coroner Vicki Broadus said Golden was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:16 p.m. Sunday.

Two others in the van, Byrd said, suffered minor injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
