Gulfport woman sentenced on Katrina fraud

A Gulfport woman is held for federal marshals pending a prison transfer on a conviction of Hurricane Katrina fraud.

U.S. District Judge Sul Ozerden has sentenced Sarah Jane Diab to 10 months in prison for defrauding federal agencies of disaster-relief assistance she wasn't entitled to receive. She also must make restitution of more than $29,000 to FEMA and $435 to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
