Sheriff's investigators believe a man fired multiple shots at his stepdaughters and one of their boyfriends before he turned the gun on himself early this morning on Andre Drive. Deputies were outside the mobile home trying to talk the man into coming out when the final shot was fired at 4:40 a.m.
The man apparently killed his two stepdaughters, ages 17 and 19, and the 19-year-old's boyfriend, also age 19, before killing himself. The 17-year-old was a junior at Harrison Central High School.
Harrison County Sheriff Melvin Brisolara said the two stepdaughters were found trying to hide in a bathroom. The boyfriend was found in the living room. Earlier in the dispute, around 3:20 a.m., the man's wife crawled out the bathroom window and hid under the front porch, then darted across the road to a neighbor's home, said Brisolara.
Funeral home personnel arrived around 8 a.m. to begin removing the bodies. The victims' names have not been released.
