Rain for Memorial Day weekend on the MS Coast
It’s shaping up to be a rainy holiday weekend on the Mississippi Coast, according to experts.
“Many areas likely see 1 to 3 inches of rain with isolated pockets of 5+ possible. Stay weather aware heading into the holiday weekend,” forecasters at the National Weather Service New Orleans said in a May 18 post on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Thunderstorms are also possible throughout the weekend, according to a May 20 AccuWeather forecast.
Heat continues for Memorial Day weekend on the MS Coast
The rainy Memorial Day weekend won’t significantly cool temperatures down, according to AccuWeather experts. Here are the highs and lows for each day:
- Friday: High of 82 degrees Fahrenheit, low of 78 degrees Fahrenheit
- Saturday: High of 80 degrees Fahrenheit, low of 77 degrees Fahrenheit
- Sunday: High of 84 degrees Fahrenheit, low of 77 degrees Fahrenheit
