People in MS aging slower than in other states, new analysis shows. Here’s why, how much
With abundant annual sunlight and high drinking water quality, Mississippi residents may age slower than those in most other states, a new analysis found.
The Magnolia State ranked 8th on an aging index by Piurify, a company specializing in Hydrogen water products, meaning they have less to be concerned about when it comes to aging quickly.
Piurify analysts looked at annual sunlight amounts, search interest in aging concerns, and drinking water quality and average age for each state to come up with the ranking.
“The human body is composed of about 70% water, and we need to replenish our reserves every day,” Bill McGraw, environmental scientist and aquaculture expert, said in a March 31 news release. “Good quality water is needed for all metabolic functions in the human body, and daily detoxification and disease prevention cannot proceed in anyone who is dehydrated.”

Mississippi has an aging index score of 0.66, 0.12 points below Florida, the state that ages the slowest, the analysis found. Here’s how the state scored in all other categories:
