President Donald Trump sent U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to airports nationwide on March 23 to support Transportation Security Administration officials during the partial government shutdown.

The move comes as TSA staffing shortages intensify, with more than 450 officials resigning after being required to work without pay, according to a March 25 Department of Homeland Security post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

So, are ICE agents expected at any Mississippi airports? Here’s what we know.

The partial government shutdown began on Feb. 14 after the Senate could not approve funding for the Department of Homeland Security.
