More No Kings anti-Trump protests planned across MS soon. Here’s when and where
A third wave of nationwide “No Kings” demonstrations, which take aim against Trump administration policies, are set to take place on March 28.
The first wave included about 2,000 demonstrations in all 50 states June 14, on the same day of President Donald Trump’s birthday and military parade celebrating the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary. In October, more than 2,700 demonstrations happened across all 50 states, according to the “No Kings” website.
“We are coming together again on March 28 because we know we can overcome this repression when we unite,” organizers said on the website.
There are nine events planned across Mississippi. Here’s what to know.
What is ‘No Kings’?
“No Kings” is a movement planned by 50501 — a grassroots organization that started as a response to the actions of the Trump administration, which the organization views as “anti-democratic,” according to their website.
The demonstrations look to tackle multiple Trump administration policies, including immigration, healthcare, environmental protections and education, according to organizers.
