It’s officially spring, and that means it’s festival season on the Mississippi Coast.

As flowers and trees bloom and wildlife reemerges, communities are also coming back to life. After the colder, quieter months, spring festivals offer a chance to reconnect, celebrate and bask in the renewed energy of the season.

On the Gulf Coast, there’s no shortage of ways to join in the excitement. From lively food and art festivals to celebrations rooted in the region’s history, here’s a look at some of the biggest festivals happening in the coming weeks, according to Coastal Mississippi.
