The war began Feb. 28 when the United States and Israel launched strikes on Iranian military sites and leadership and Iran retaliated.
In Mississippi, views are more narrowly divided, with 49% of residents saying they approve of how Trump is handling the war with Iran while 46% of residents say they disapprove, according to a Civiqs poll published March 16.
The president’s approval rating has dropped five percentage points among Mississippians since the U.S. attacked Iranian nuclear and military sites last June, the poll found.
