Campbell’s Bakery
Campbell’s Bakery in Jackson, is an award-winning American bakery serving up petit fours, tea cakes, custom cakes and — according to Tasting Table — the best brownies in Mississippi.
“We’re thrilled to share that Tasting Table has named us Best Brownie in Mississippi,” bakery staff said in a Feb. 27 post on Facebook. “If you haven’t tried them yet, consider this your sign to stop by and try a classic brownie or our new gluten friendly brownies, made with the same rich chocolate and care.”
The bakery was founded by Louis and Jessie Campbell in 1962 and has been an integral part of the Fondren community, according to its website.
“The brownies here are regarded as very moist, with variations like lemon chess and caramel available in addition to chocolate,” Tasting Table reported.
