Mississippians dreaming of snow might get lucky this weekend, as a strong cold front pushes through the area amid a warmer-than-average winter, according to weather experts.

“There’s a low chance (around 10-30%) of snow Saturday night across southeast Louisiana and southern Mississippi,” the National Weather Service New Orleans said in a Jan. 14 post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The snow is dependent on both where the cold front lands and if there’s enough moisture at that time to produce snow, the NWS said in a Jan. 15 post on X.

If it does snow across the Mississippi Coast, here’s how you can watch it without leaving your house or limiting yourself to your own windows or social media.

Watch snow with MS live webcams

Mississippians can watch snowfall live without leaving their house through a series of live webcams across the state.

The Mississippi Department of Transportation’s website shows 19 live traffic cameras along the Coast, on I-90, and dozens more throughout the state.

To access them, click here. Then, click on the camera you want to view, and you’ll see the live video of wherever that camera is.

The U.S. Geological Survey Lower Mississippi-Gulf Water Science Center also has a group of cameras available to view.

A series of live beach cameras also show areas along the Coast. You can access them by clicking here.
