Shredded cheese recalled in MS for possibly having metal fragments. See if you bought any
More than 260,000 cases of shredded cheese sold at major grocery stores in Mississippi and 30 other states have been recalled due to a potential metal fragment contamination, according to a Food and Drug Administration enforcement report.
The recall impacts several cheese brands, including private label brands at Target, Aldi and Walmart, according to the report.
Originally issued in October, the recall was upgraded to a class II Dec. 1, meaning exposure to the product could cause “temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences,” according to the FDA.
