There’s nothing quite like driving by a festive display of lights to get you and your loved ones in the holiday spirit.

This year there are several free, holiday light displays in the Mississippi Gulf Coast, from Bay St. Louis to Pascagoula!

Some displays are themed — like the dog-themed Wiener Wonderland in Biloxi — others include radio stations you can tune into and hear music that accompanies the light show and others are quirky community traditions.

Here’s where to find the best free holiday light shows in the MS Gulf Coast.

Holiday lights in Biloxi

Hattula Family Light Show

The Hattula Family Light Show spans across six homes and features more than 140,000 lights, according to a Nov. 20 Facebook post by organizers. The light show starts on Thanksgiving and will run through New Year’s Eve. Tune your radio to 101.7 FM to listen to the accompanying music.

Time: Starts at 5:30 p.m. each evening

Wiener Wonderland

Wiener Wonderland is an annual Christmas light show dedicated to Dachshunds that raises money for Tired Dog Rescue, according to organizers. The lights run through Jan. 4 and are on each night unless there is rain.

Holiday lights in Ocean Springs

The Porch Downtown Ocean Springs

The Porch Downtown, a boutique motel, features a Christmas village and a “letters to Santa” mailbox with stationary. The display is available anytime, according to the motel’s social media.

Holiday lights in Long Beach

Penny Estates on Copper Court Christmas Light Show

A local favorite, the Christmas Light Show at Penny Estates on Copper Court is slated to open for the season around December 6, according to a Facebook page for the light show. Tune your car radios to 89.3 FM to listen to the accompanying music.

Time: 5:30-9 p.m. week days and 5:30-10 p.m. weekends

Potts-Sessions Family Light Show

The Potts-Sessions Family Light Show will take place this year to collect non-perishable food donations for the Long Beach Community Food Pantry, according to a post on Facebook. The lights will be on each night through the end of the year.

Time: 5 p.m. to midnight

Holiday lights in Pass Christian

For years, Pass Christian has built a holiday Crab Trap Tree near the city’s harbor. The tree is decorated with holiday lights, lifebuoys and more for people to take advantage of a coastal Christmas photo opp.

Close by, the town also has their annual, festive “Sandyman” — a sand man built to resemble a snowman — display on the beach.

Holiday lights in Bay St. Louis

A home sitting on the corner of Necaise and St. John in Bay St. Louis has transformed into a dazzling holiday lights display over the past few years and is back again this year.
