Especially after a nearly two-week total pause on Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits — on which more than 350,000 residents rely on — Mississippians are continuing to look for ways to stretch their dollar.
The landmark freeze on SNAP ended in Mississippi on Nov. 10 as the Mississippi Department of Human Services began administering up to 65% of SNAP benefits, an amount set by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food and Nutrition Service, according to a news release.
