The temperature is finally starting to drop across Mississippi, with mornings ushering in a winter feel.

The cooler weather also means it’s fall festival season, and the Magnolia State is chock-full of exciting celebrations.

Here’s what to know about the upcoming festivals this November.

1. Harvest Festival at the Mississippi AG Museum in Jackson

The annual Harvest Festival at the Mississippi AG Museum highlights the history of Mississippi and the impact of agriculture. The festival features demonstrations of the cotton gin, saw mill, cane mill, print shop, blacksmith shop and more, according to the museum’s website.

When: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. | Nov. 4-8

Where: 1150 Lakeland Drive, Jackson, MS 39216

Admission: $10 ages 3 and up

2. National Folk Festival in Jackson

The National Folk Festival is an “outdoor multicultural celebration of music, dance and traditional arts and culture,” according to the festival’s website. This is the first time the festival, produced by the National Council for the Traditional Arts, is being held in Mississippi.

Where: Downtown Jackson, from State Street to Farish Street and from Pascagoula Street to Mississippi Street

3. Peter Anderson Arts & Crafts Festival in Ocean Springs

The Peter Anderson Arts & Crafts Festival is the largest fine arts festival in the state and features activities, culinary events, live music and an art project contest, according to the festival’s website.

When: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. | Nov. 8-9

Where: Downtown Ocean Springs

Admission: Free

4. Chimneyville Arts Festival in Ridgeland

The Chimneyville Arts Festival is an annual celebration of artisans featuring live demonstrations, music and handmade crafts, according to the festival’s website.

When: Nov. 13-15

Where: Waller Crafts Center at 950 Rice Road, Ridgeland, MS 39157

Admission: $10 general admission, $40 preview day tickets
