This is how much MS folks trust AI chatbots these days, survey says
Americans are spending record amounts of time conversing with Artificial Intelligence bots, and Mississippi is no exception, a new survey found.
The average Mississippian spends about a month a year chatting online with artificial intelligence bots, according to a September survey by AllSafeIT, an Los Angeles based IT support company.
“For some, AI chatbots are as valuable as caffeine — or more valuable than streaming services. That says a lot about where digital relationships are heading in the next decade,” Bones Ijeoma, CEO and co-founder of AllSafeIT, said in a Sept. 15 news release.
But how much trust do Mississippians have in the AI chatbots they’re frequently communicating with? Here’s what the survey found.
Do MS folks trust AI chatbots?
For some people, the boundary between AI tool and companion can get blurry. Here’s where Mississippians stand on trust in AI chatbots, according to AllSafeIt’s survey:

- 33% said they would tell AI something they would never tell a partner, parent or best friend
- 30% have told a chatbot “I love you”
- 14% said they completely trust a chatbot with personal information
What about Americans overall?
It’s not just Mississippians that sometimes trust chatbots more than people they are close to, according to survey results. Here’s where Americans stand on trust in AI chatbots, according to AllSafeIt.

These are the top four states that spend the most time online with AI bots, according to AllSafeIT:
