Waffle House launches delivery in MS. Here’s what to know
If you’ve ever had to prop yourself up in a Waffle House booth in the middle of the night after questionable choices, you may be relieved to know that now, thanks to Door Dash, Waffle House can come to you.
The South’s own Waffle House is rolling out all-night delivery across the state in partnership with DoorDash Drive on-Demand, bringing your favorites to your doorstep from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. starting this week.
Waffle House delivers now
Waffle House patrons in Mississippi can get their usual, delivered right to your home. Whether it be the All-Star Special or hashbrowns “scattered, smothered & covered” you’ll don’t even have to leave your house.
Orders can be placed via the Waffle House website, mobile app, or DoorDash, and it the new delivery service comes as Waffle House celebrates its 70th anniversary. Some locations across the country, including some in New Orleans, are available for 24/7 delivery on the DoorDash app, so there’s no time crunch on ordering, late-night.
This launch also marks National Waffle Week and celebrates Waffle House’s reputation as the go-to spot for comfort food but signals, according to the announcement, “a meaningful expansion of Waffle House’s digital capabilities ... and the brand’s commitment to delivering the same quality meals”
Waffle House is from the South
According to the Georgia Historical Society, Waffle House has humble beginnings. It began in Avondale Estates, Georgia, in 1955 as a single diner created by neighbors Joe Rogers Sr. and Tom Forkner. It quickly grew into a Southern staple, becoming a place for anyone looking for a hot breakfast.
The site of the original restaurant now serves as the Waffle House Museum, open to visitors and waffle-lovers looking for a look at how it all started.
DoorDash and Waffle House make excellent partners
To celebrate the partnership, Mississippi customers ordering through wafflehouse.com or the mobile app won’t pay a delivery fee through Sept. 14, but you should check the fine print to see what the terms and conditions are.

DoorDash VP Shanna Prevé, gets it, emphasizing the team up is “making a cultural icon more accessible” and meeting late-night cravings across the state.
Even though dining in a Waffle House restaurant is sometimes the whole point, sometimes you just want to enjoy your cheese grits at home, and now, you can get those grits all night long.
