Job-hunting in Mississippi? These companies were just ranked among the state’s best to work for in 2025 and might be worth considering.
In August, Forbes released the results of their seventh annual survey of best employers by state.
Through a partnership with market research firm Statista, Forbes surveyed more than 100,000 people who work for a company of at least 500 U.S. employees for the ranking.
The survey included questions about likeness of an employee to recommend their employer, wage parity, work culture, paths to professional advancement and more.
Twenty companies made Forbes’ ranking for Mississippi. These are the top five.
#1 CVS Health
Headquartered in Rhode Island, CVS Health Corporation is the second-largest healthcare company in the U.S. and Canada, according to Investopedia. It’s made up of several brands, including a retail pharmacy chain, a pharmacy benefits manager and a health insurance provider, according to the company’s website.
#2 Help At Home
Help At Home is a national home care provider for seniors and people living with disabilities, according to the company’s website. It’s headquartered in Chicago and has 11 locations in Mississippi.
#3 Mississippi State University
Located in Starkville, Mississippi State University is the second biggest university in the state, following the University of Mississippi.
#4 Nissan Motor
Nissan Motor is a Japanese industrial corporation with North American headquarters in Tennessee, according to the company’s website. Nissan Motor sells vehicles under two brands, Nissan and Infiniti. It also has two in-house brands, Nismo and Autech.
#5 Amazon
Headquartered in Seattle, Amazon is considered the world’s leading e-commerce company. It strives to be the most customer-centric company, the best employer and the safest place to work, according to the company’s website.
