Kroger stores in MS offering special discount for one day. Here’s when, who qualifies
Shoppers who are ages 55 and up will get a senior discount at Kroger for one day only, according to the store’s weekly ad.
The 5% discount for senior shoppers will take place Wednesday, Sept. 3 and is valid for food and household items purchased in-store, according to the ad. The grocery chain will let qualifying shoppers buy their groceries with food and OTC cards.
Customers must meet the age requirement and be a member of the Kroger rewards program to qualify for the promotion. The rewards program is free to sign up for online or in store.

Kroger’s senior discount programs
Kroger was among the first grocery stores to offer a discount program for seniors, but it was discontinued between 2017 and 2024, according to Chapter, an advisory for Americans navigating retirement.
Now, the grocer occasionally hosts senior discount days. The most recent senior discount day was May 5, 2025.
