Multiple car crashes cause traffic delays on I-10 across South Mississippi

Multiple car crashes were reported on Interstate 10 as heavy rain moved through South Mississippi on Friday afternoon, according to the Mississippi Department of Transportation.

Several wrecks on Interstate 10 near Exit 38 (Cowan Road) has impacted westbound traffic. MDOT said at 3 p.m. drivers should expect delays for about an hour.

A crash on I-10 near the Diamondhead Exit (16) also caused westbound delays but appeared clear by 3:15 p.m.

Drivers should expect delays on I-10 near the Vancleave Exit (57) for about an hour in all directions due to congestion, MDOT said.
