Interstate 10 eastbound near Cowan Road exit blocked after crashes, police say
Drivers traveling eastbound on Interstate 10 should look for an alternate route Wednesday after at least one wreck is blocking both lanes near the Cowan Road exit.
Gulfport police tweeted that drivers should expect delays while crews work to clear the scene.
It’s not clear if there are any injuries are associated with the accidents.
The Mississippi Department of Transportation advised at 4;30 p.m. that delays could last up to an hour and “multiple crashes” have occurred in the area.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms have drenched the Coast on Wednesday and Harrison County was under a flooding advisory until 4:15 p.m.
