Which Coast county has the cheapest gas? Map shows fuel prices across Mississippi.

If it’s time for you to fill up your gas tank again, you’re in luck.

New data published by AAA shows that Mississippi has the cheapest gas prices in the United States.

The average price of fuel per gallon in the Magnolia State is $2.79. The average price per gallon for the entire U.S. is $3.18, according to data published Tuesday.

Residents on the Coast have even more reason to rejoice — the three southernmost counties have some of the most affordable prices per gallon in the state.

This map, which updates in real-time, shows average gas prices per county, including Hancock, Harrison and Jackson Counties.

The AAA averages can change as frequently as daily, based on the fluctuation of fuel prices in each state.
