Slow down
Have to get this off my chest. I’m retired military and still working. I drive along Pass Road every morning and more days out of the week than I want to count a motorist wearing a military uniform heading to Keesler attempts to kill me by recklessly passing, speeding or tailgating my bumper because I am driving the speed limit. Yes, I mean you.
Who cares?
Does anyone more than maybe five people care about the release of this years Southern Miss football depth chart? Come on, their insignificant little games may be entertaining to a couple students and locals for a few hours, but who really cares?
Be kind
I realize that the boats are trying to protect their investment by going to hurricane hole, but would you please respect my investment? Your wake contributes to the deterioration of our bulkheads and piers. This morning I witnessed a 42-foot boat roaring out of hurricane hole, passing up someone’s sailboat and almost flipping him over. Marine patrol, where are you?
A good experience
I just renewed my driver’s license at the Kiln location. The staff was competent, courteous and friendly.
The media
Pay attention if you want clear proof that the liberal slanting, anti-Trump media is biased. Check out coverage of the “peaceful protests” in our Democrat controlled cities throughout the country — if you can find any. These are not peaceful protests by any stretch of the imagination.
My way
I too am an old guy (80) and still have one foot back in the 20th Century. I do use a credit/debit card occasionally in order to avoid carrying cash. However, I do not tweet, nor Facebook, nor text. If I want you to know something, you will hear my voice or get an email from my desktop. I have never ordered anything online, I support local businesses and the local tax base. I have never made a withdrawal from an ATM. When I need cash I go into the bank and get the bills I want instead of what the machine spits out. I have an android phone, not a smart phone. I prefer to rely on my intelligence rather than someone else’s artificial intelligence.
