Seven people rescued from Mississippi Sound after boat capsizes
Seven people were rescued from a capsized boat near Horn Island on Sunday.
The Coast Guard office in Mobile received a call at 2:47 p.m. Sea Tow about a boat it had lost contact with while en route to help the vessel.
The Coast Guard diverted a 45-foot boat and crew from the station in Pascagoula to search for the boat, which was found just after 3 p.m. Seven people were found in the water.
The Coast Guard recovered all seven people and took the to Station Pascagoula.
