Five young women from South Mississippi will compete this weekend for the title of Miss Mississippi Teen USA 2018.

They are:

▪ Jessica Baldwin of Poplarville, Miss Pine Belt Teen USA

▪ Hadley Daniels of Moss Point, Miss Southern Mississippi Teen USA

▪ Anna Catherine Kendricks of Gulfport, Miss Hospitality Teen USA

▪ Kimber’lee Smith of Saucier, Miss Harrison County Teen USA

▪ Allie Watson of Gulfport, Miss Gulf Coast Teen USA

The competition will be held Oct. 26-28 at Horseshoe Casino Resort in Tunica. There, contestants will compete in three equal phases of preliminary competition: athletic wear/swimsuit, evening gown and interview. Those with the highest composite scores are named semifinalists; depending on the number of contestants in the competition, the number is between 10 and 15. Once semifinalists are announced, they will again compete in swimsuit and evening gown, which will narrow the field to five finalists. The finalists will have an on-stage interview, and the winner to fourth runner-up will be announced.

The Miss Mississippi Teen USA pageant is the official preliminary to the Miss Teen USA pageant. The winner will go on to represent the state in the nationally televised 2018 Miss Teen USA pageant.
