Hurricane Harvey hit the coast of Texas on Friday as a Category 4 hurricane. Since Friday, Harvey has become a tropical storm that has dumped more than 50 inches of rain over parts of Texas, creating what the National Weather Service has called “catastrophic flooding.”

Fox News correspondent Steve Harrigan has been on the ground in Texas since Friday. Harrigan offers a first-person perspective on what he’s seen in Texas. He also was on the ground in Gulfport on Aug. 29, 2005, when Hurricane Katrina hit the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He said met the “nicest people” in the days after Hurricane Katrina.
