Beau Rivage is second Coast casino to require masks for customers

Add Beau Rivage Resort & Casino to the list of businesses where masks will be required for everyone.

Harrah’s Gulf Coast Casino in Biloxi announced Wednesday that everyone, including customers, must wear masks while on the property. It started at 2 p.m. Wednesday.

MGM Resorts International announced masks will be required starting Friday at all its U.S. properties, which includes Beau Rivage Resort & Casino.

The Beau Rivage reopened June 1, later than the other Coast casinos, while a hand-washing station was built at the casino entrance and staff were trained. The other 11 Coast casinos opened May 21 following the coronavirus shutdown.

MGM previously only required employees to wear masks, while requirements for guests and other visitors were based on local regulations.

Guests at Beau Rivage will be provided with a mask if they don’t have one. They will be asked to leave the property if they don’t comply, the company said in a press release.

“We want guests and employees to feel comfortable that we are putting their health and safety first,” the company said.
