No reopening date set for Disneyland — but you can still book a room at a resort hotel

You can book a room at a Disneyland resort hotel for as soon as July 1, according to the park.

Disneyland parks closed their gates to all visitors as the coronavirus pandemic lingered. There is no date set for when it could reopen, but park resort hotels are beginning to take reservations for July 1, according to a news release from Disneyland.

“While there is still much uncertainty with respect to the impacts of COVID-19, the safety and well-being of our guests and employees remain The Walt Disney Company’s top priority,” the news release said. “As a result of this unprecedented pandemic and in line with direction provided by health experts and government officials, the Disneyland Resort theme parks, hotels and the Downtown Disney District are currently closed and a reopening date has not been identified.”

Even with the parks closed, reservations after July 1 can be made at the Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, according to the Orange County Register.

Until there is a set reopening date for Disneyland, however, the park is not taking reservations for dining or merchandise experiences, the news outlet reported.

The park previously was accepting reservations for June 1 but pushed that date back, according to Deadline.

“As always, guests are able to modify these bookings if the Disneyland Resort opens before or after that time,” Disney said.
