The Mississippi State Department of Health confirmed four new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, bringing the statewide total to 10.
One of the new cases is a patient in Pearl River County, the health department said in a tweet.
There are no confirmed cases of new coronavirus yet in the three coastal counties.
Coast schools are closed through March 20 as a precaution.
In Louisiana, there have been two deaths and 91 cases, more than both Taiwan and Texas. There are 13 cases in Alabama.
Ninety people have been tested in Mississippi as of Friday, with 10 positive results.
Across the country, cases have topped 3,100, with 62 deaths.
