Seven of the 18 restaurants in Mississippi selected for this year’s Wine Spectator’s Restaurant Awards are fine-dining restaurants at Biloxi casinos.

The 2016 Wine Spectator Restaurant Awards were announced Thursday and Biloxi casino restaurants honored are:

▪ BR Prime Steakhouse at Beau Rivage Resort and Casino

▪ Jia at Beau Rivage Resort and Casino

▪ Mignon’s Steaks & Seafood at Palace Casino Resort

▪ Morton’s the Steakhouse at Golden Nugget Casino Biloxi

▪ Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse at Hard Rock Casino Biloxi

▪ Stalla at Beau Rivage Resort and Casino

▪ Thirty-Two at IP Casino Resort

Wine Spectator, considered the leading authority on wine, began recognizing restaurants with the world’s best wine lists in 1981. This year, 3,595 winners were named in all 50 states and more than 70 countries.

Mignon’s at Palace Casino has been on the list since 2006, the longest of any of the Biloxi restaurants.

The list of winners is available online; in the August issue of Wine Spectator that goes on sale next week; and on a new Restaurant Awards app that allows mobile users to search for nearby award-winning restaurants with maps, types of wine and cuisine, and pricing.
