Biloxi resorts nearly sweep list of best in state

Four of the top five hotels on U.S. News & World Report's 2016 Best Hotel rankings for Mississippi are casino resorts in Biloxi.

Monmouth Historic Inn at Natchez topped the magazine's list.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi was rated No. 2, and the editors noted its deep-purple headboards and "Sleep like a Rock" beds.

"Having our beautiful hotel featured within a globally recognized publication is an honor for us, our owners and our staff," said Todd Raziano, general manager of Hard Rock Biloxi.

Beau Rivage Resort & Casino was ranked third, IP Casino Resort fourth and Harrah's Gulf Coast fifth.

The Best Hotels methodology combines a hotel's industry accolades with expert and guest reviews and hotel class ratings.
