Treasure Bay players, staff help feed those in need

MARY PEREZ/SUN HERALD
A Christmas tree of food donations collected at Treasure Bay Casino will be donated to Biloxi's Back Bay Mission this week to help feed those in need over the holidays. Frank Kappler, left, a slot technician manager, brings a bag of canned goods for Sarah Loiacano, marketing coordinator, to add to the donations. The casino has done food drives in the past but this is the first time it was tied to a promotion -- the "$20,000 Because We Can Slot Tournament." Mike Rumore drove from Tampa, Fla., for the promotion that provided players club points for each can of food donated. He and others said although the points are nice, they wanted to give back to the community.
