Beau Rivage employees makes 'Impact' in community

Beau Rivage employees committed hundreds of hours in the community for MGM Resorts International's annual Impact Week.

Each year Beau Rivage Resort & Casino challenges its workforce to give back to South Mississippi with volunteer efforts that focus on education, community improvement, combating hunger, assisting the elderly and childhood development.

On Monday volunteers wrote Christmas cards for soldiers serving overseas and helped at the Humane Society of South Mississippi. On Tuesday they packed backpacks for the Bay Area Food Bank and on Wednesday they cleaned rooms at the Ronald McDonald House in New Orleans.

Thursday they will volunteer with Excel by 5 Art on Wheels project. They will host a blood drive Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the bus lobby at the casino. Saturday they will assist with Halloween on the Green in Biloxi and on Friday and Saturday they will volunteer with the Humane Society's Fall Fur Fest in downtown Gulfport.
