An Ocean Springs video poker player beat odds of 1-in-700,000 and walked away with a $100,000 jackpot at Harrah’s Gulf Coast casino in Biloxi.

The lucky local struck it rich on Friday, June 19, with a $125 play on the $5 denomination 5 Play Video Poker machine, which allows the playing of five hands at once. The odds for hitting a royal flush on a video poker machine are about 1-in-45,000. In this case, this guest was dealt the royal flush in the initial draw, the odds of which are 1-in-700,000.

This is the year’s 25th jackpot of $100,000 or more at South Mississippi casinos, while there were 31 for all of 2025.

The total of these jackpots now stands at more than $5.4 million, with the top prize of more than $1 million paid at the Beau Rivage in January.
