Casino Gambling

Do you think children should be allowed at casino resorts? Vote now in our poll.

Silver Slipper casino is the third property on the Mississippi Coast that restricted access to anyone under 21 years old.

General Manager John Ferucci said the casino staff worked tirelessly to ensure children were being watched by their parents or guardians and still had issues.

“We invite parents to come back when they have a babysitter,” Ferucci told the Sun Herald.

Treasure Bay Casino in Biloxi and Island View Casino Resort in Gulfport also don’t allow children on property, including in their hotels, restaurants and pools.

Silver Slipper’s decision sparked hundreds of comments on Facebook, with many supporting the decision saying casinos are no place for kids. Others, however, feel like children should be allowed to stay on site and use the pool and eat at restaurants.

So, we want to hear from you. Do you think casinos on the Mississippi Coast should allow children on property, or do you think they should be child-free zones?

Vote now in our survey, which is non-scientific.
