Local man wins $250,000 jackpot at Coast casino just in time for Christmas
A man playing the slot machines at Golden Nugget Casino Biloxi took home quite the Christmas bonus.
The man — who asked not to be identified — won $250,000 on Dec. 23. He was playing the Top Dollar machine, said Chett Harrison, general manager of the casino. It was not a progressive jackpot.
Harrison said the player is from the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
“Big congrats to our Golden guest on their huge jackpot hit of $250,000,” Golden Nugget posted on Facebook.
The casino has been busy this fall and is having another big week, Harrison said.
“It’s always really good Christmas to New Year’s,” he said.
It’s been a record year for casino revenue on the Coast. While several players have hit it big for $25,000 and more in recent weeks at Coast casinos, this is the largest slot jackpot in a while in South Mississippi.
