After being closed for more than 2 months during the coronavirus shutdown, the Coast casinos will open throughout the day on Thursday, May 21.

That’s the first day casinos are permitted to reopen under the new regulations from the Mississippi Gaming Commission.

Several will open right around 8 a.m., once given the go-ahead from the Gaming Commission, with others to follow during the morning and until noon.

Beau Rivage Casino will wait to open at 10 a.m. on June 1.

Depending on Gaming Commission approval, scheduled opening times on Thursday are:

  • Boomtown — 10 a.m.
  • Golden Nugget — 8 a.m.
  • Hard Rock Biloxi — 11 a.m.
  • Harrah’s Gulf Coast — 8 a.m.
  • Hollywood Casino Gulf Coast — Noon

  • Palace Casino — 10 a.m.

All of the casinos and amenities will be deep-cleaned and sanitized. Employees are required to wear face masks. Customers will be encouraged to wear masks and will be asked a series of questions about their health and exposure to the coronavirus before they are allowed inside.

Occupancy will be limited to 50% and social distancing will be required at the games and in the restaurants and other amenities.
